This month, palyers can fill out their Pokédexes with several promotions, tied to the release of a new trading card-game expansion and several video downloads.
Trainers can visit GameStop stores (Disclaimer: GameStop is Game Informer’s parent company) to get a free code card that can be used to download a level 100 Darkrai, the star of the remastered movie Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai, which is now available for download on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play. Pokémon the Series: XYZ was also recently added to the Pokémon TV app, and players can download level 100 versions of Xerneas, Tveltal, and Zygarde from the Nintendo Network for one week in May. This week, through May 8, you can download Zygarde. From May 11-17, you can score shiny Xerneas. Finally, from May 20-26 you can add shiny Yveltal to your collection.
The latest expansion for the Pokémon TCG: XY – Fates Collide launches today, too, adding 120 new cards, as well as a new BREAK Evolution mechanic to the game.

Free Pokémon? What’s not to love? Well, aside from nearly breaking your tailbone on a pile of cards that your kids have left on the kitchen floor. Anyone else?
